Princess Party

This week was Reece's very first time to attend a birthday party. The party was for Reece's first cousin Ella Faith Petersen. Ella turned 3 years old. The party was a Princess Party. It was a good thing that Reece was already a princess. She fit in so well!

Here is one of our very first Family Pictures. We all decided that we should color coordinate in silver. Reece was of course in her princess dress with a silver tutu.

Here is Reece and her very first prince... Daddy. Well I guess he is actually her King!

Here is little miss Reece from the night of Ella's actual birthday. We all went to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate, and it wore her out.

While we were there Mimi gave Ella her very own Princess Tea Party set! Ella was so ready to bust it out, and give it a try.

2 Weeks Down, 934 To Go...

Well, here we are. We have made it to the 2 week mark and let me tell you, it is worth every missed meal, every lost hour of sleep and every poopie diaper.

We finally picked a pediatrician that is real close to our house. We went in not knowing what to expect and were blown away with the customer service that we experienced as well as the hospitality that was shown to us. We love our doctor. And Moises, you would appreciate this, she is a graduate from Texas A&M, but we won't hold that against her.

Here are some things we are learning:
Reece does not like covers.

When you have a baby girl, there is a bow for every occasion.

Reece loves her Wubbanub...

NOT!!!

Anyway, I hope you find joy in our little girl as much as we do.

Love,
Ryan & Alisha

Discovering

So these last two weeks have been full of changes. We have had to change the way we sleep (or don't sleep for that matter), change the way we run errands, and change the way that we think of the dogs. It is amazing to think that they are just fine if we forget them outside for a few hours. They may be mad, but fine all the same. In the midst of these changes we are also learning some good changes... Like how to snuggle with the cutest baby in the world, that the smell of a new born is better than crack and all kinds of other new discoveries. Here are a few pictures of Reecie Pie to show how much fun we are having discovering together.

She's Here!!!!!!

The pride and Joy of our lives has arrived. On August 30th 2011, God blessed Ryan and I with the most beautiful gift in the whole world! It was the birth of our little girl, Reece Annalynn Cain! She weighed 6lbs. 11oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long.

We were so blessed to have my mother staying with us to help take care of me while I waited for her to arrive and then for a little while after her birth. She actually decided it was time for her to get back to her own life, and went home to Lubbock this past Saturday. I must tell you I was SO SAD to see her go. She was such a great help to me during this whole process! Thank you MOM! I have a new respect for the fact that she gave birth to me (seeing as how I just joined the Club/War Society)!

We also had many other visitors at the hospital from both sides of the family. We are so blessed to have such great and loving families! We love you all!

Stay tuned for the updates as the start to roll in--- I know this little girl is going to grow up was too fast...

I Think She's Almost Ready

I am not sure if Reece will be coming today, or 2 weeks from now... All I know is that we are ready. We have the room all ready. We have the hospital bag all packed. We have our car seat and stroller ready to go. The only thing left is for God to give Reece the go ahead to make her Grand Entrance into this crazy world. The more I start thinking about how crazy this world is... The more I start to believe what my Dad has been telling me, about my belly being the safest place for Reece. Also, pregnancy is going to be the most control I will ever have over her life. He has been telling me that once she comes out I will lose a little more control every day. I guess he would know what he was talking about because he has done this a couple times...

That theory is great, but the only problem is I am a selfish and sinful person that just wants her body back. So Reece if you can hear this--- The coast is clear! Come on out!

IS SHE HERE YET?

Well, as I get closer to D-Day I can't help but ask my self... "Is she here yet?" I am really getting ready to have Little Reece come out and see Ryan and I. This Thursday we are going to the doctor to get another peek at her. I am hoping that this will give us a better idea of when to expect to see our little bundle of Joy.

I am under strict instructions from my sister Ashley (aka- GiGi) to keep Reece in my Belly until at least this next Sunday... because she is in Italy with her husbands family. Let me tell ya, I do not think that there is anything to worry about. I have a feeling this little girl is going to be as laid back as I am, and is in no hurry to get out of her cozy little cocoon...

With all that said, thank you for the many gifts we have been given & all of the love! We will keep you posted!

5 WEEKS AWAY!!

Well, here we sit at 5 weeks away from bringing home our little girl. Alisha has done so awesome during this pregnancy. From the stories we hear, she has not even compared to the horror stories. This I am very grateful for. Not much else I can think of other than, we will keep you all posted the closer it gets.
