5 Months Old

Today our little princess turned 5 months old! We have been feeling a little crummy the last few days because of teething again. We had about a week or two of peace once the first two teeth on the bottom broke through the gums, but now Reece is back at it. She already has the top front two teeth trying to come in, and these are much worse than the first two. Our poor baby has been running a temperature and not trying to crawl as much. The good thing is that through pictures you wouldn't be able to tell, because she is still smiling as usual! She has got to be the world's Happiest Baby!

First trip to the E R

Well this weekend we had a bit of a scare. On Friday Ryan and I noticed that Reece was very congested. We were afraid she was starting to get RSV again. So we started sucking her snot every time we saw snot coming out of her cute little nose. On Saturday night we could tell that Reece was struggling to breath, and every time we would lay her down she would gasp for air. We called the doctor and she told us to go to the hospital. So off we went. After 5 hours of waiting we found out that her nasal passages were swollen from too much suction... Long story short after 5 hours at the hospital with no suction did wonders for Her nose! We were able to go home and go right to sleep. Here are some pictures from our adventure.

Teeth and Tummy Time

What a weekend! This past weekend Reece decided that all she wanted to do was eat and cry (and smile). We think that it is because she is cutting her first two teeth. She has been cutting them for a few weeks now, but we think they have finally started to break through the gums. Needless to say it has been a difficult process for all of us. Reecie has also decided that it is time to start trying to crawl. We are spending a lot of time on our belly just wiggling our feet in an effort to go somewhere.



This was really cute until she decided that every time we want to change her diaper... she would rather roll over and wiggle (crawl). I am very afraid that we are not going to be to excited about all this tummy time very soon, when our princess starts giving us a run for our money!

4 Months Old

Well, I couldn't decide which picture was the cutest picture of our happy little 4 month old baby... If you ask me they are all just too cute! It is hard to believe that Reece is already 4 months old. She is smiling all the time, and now she really starting to use her little piano to stand up like a big girl. She really is growing up too fast.

Babys First Christmas

So, this year was different than last year due to the fact that it was not just the two of us. We had Reece and so our priorities for gifts seemed to shift. Most of what we bought was for Reece but for some reason she seems to be more mesmerized by the lights on the tree rather than the Texas Tech Pillow Pet that Santa dropped off for her. All in all, we had a very blessed Christmas. The best blessing we had was Reece. She is continuing to grow into the young girl that God desires het to be. Of course Mommy gets sad when I start talking about her getting bigger. Mommy wants her to stay a baby, but I want her to grow for selfish reasons. I want a full nights sleep on a consistent basis....
Anyway, Christmas was great. A new change for us and we continue to look toward the future.

Santa I love you!

So we took little Reecie Pie to go meet Santa. We figured it might be a welcomed treat for her since she has been cooped up in the house for a week with RSV. Reece has not been able to leave the house since right after her new little cousin Scarlett Grace came into the world on 12-8-11. I know that Scarlett, cousin Abigail and Reece are going to be thick as thieves! I can't wait to see how much trouble they try to give Ella Faith.


As you can see Reece had a great first impression of Santa Clause! She loves his fluffy belly and super soft beard. I think he liked her quite a bit too! God definantly answered our prayer for Reece. While I was pregnant we prayed that Reece would bring Joy to all people that know her or come in contact with her... And she does! And especially to her mommy and daddy!

Celebration Saturday

Today was a fun filled day of celebrating! First Ryan and I went to the Houston Ballet to see The Nutcracker. It was the first time for us both to see it. Ryan had given me the tickets for our anniversary. It was so much fun to get dressed up and go out on a date!

Then tonight we went as a family to Reece's very first Christmas party. As you can see the theme was "Tacky Christmas!" We had a great time at the party and loved spending time with the people of Genesis Church!!!
