Avery's Birthday Bash

This weekend we had Avery's 1 year old Birthday Party! Since I grew up on a farm and Ryan always tells me that he should have been a cowboy... We thought a tractor party would be fun, and then we saw how much Avery loves tractors and trucks... So we we knew he would love it! For the food we had hay bales (rice-crispy treats), tractor tires (chocolate doughnuts), cotton stalks (marshmallows on pretzels) and fresh produce! It was a small gathering of a handful of special people that helped us make our little buddy A King For A Day! We are so thankful to everyone that attended. Thank you!

We also let the kids decorate sugar cookies with green and yellow icing.

The best part was eating the cooking after we were finished decorating.

When it came time to "Smash" the birthday cake Avery had a different plan. Avery can not eat anything the is not completely blended up (for now), so he DOES NOT put food in his mouth. We think it might be because he is afraid that he will throw up. With that said---- there was no smashing (just a couple of finger marks in the icing).

It was a great day celebrating Avery! Thank you again to everyone that make it to the party! For those of you that couldn't make it you were missed!
