Presents All Around

The last few weeks have blown by! Let me start off by showing you some of baby Reece's very first presents from her Nonni!

She is not even here, and already she is starting to have a nice little collection already.

Next, it was Aidan's birthday this past week, and so we had him over for a little Birthday Celebration! We had so much fun playing with his new Pirate Ship, puzzle and Webkins Lemar.

Thank you for the gifts Nonni, and thank you for coming to hang out with us Joey and Aidan!

It's a Girl

For those of you that have not heard yet... Ryan and I went to the doctor yesterday, and found out that we are having a Baby Girl!!! We are VERY excited. Since I am from a family of girls... I think I might have a better idea of what I am doing with a girl. I know that Ryan is excited because everyone has told him "Little Girls love their Daddy!"

Here is a picture of our little bundle of JOY! If you look at the picture you will see that she has her thumb in her mouth. She was doing this the entire time during the sonogram. For me this is Adorable because as a child I was a thumb sucker. She is already taking after her Momma =) SO CUTE!

This is a few more pictures of our little cutie!!!

MiMi came to Town

Well my Mom came to town last weekend, and we had a blast! Ashley took me, mom and Joann to a Rockets game after a long weekend of planting flowers. Ryan was such a sport. He ever took off his shoes and got dirt between his toes.

We were also blessed to have BiBi in town for a few days, so we all went to her favorite restaurant El Tiempo! They have the best beef tenderloin fajitas I have ever had!!!

Also while All of us girls were at the game Ryan kept "The Ella Faith" for us. I have the best husband in the world... I'm, just sayin'!

Rocket Monday Madness

Well I am going to try and do a better job of updating everyone on what is going on in "The Cain Crew." We do not always have the most exciting lives, but this Monday we were able to not only go to a Houston Rockets NBA game... We had court side tickets! It was AMAZING!!!

As you can see we went with Ashley and Chris, and we all had a Ball.

This picture was not zoomed in... We were really that close.

Thank you so much for a fun Adult night out Ashley and Chris!!! We had a blast and will be willing to go back with you whenever you want ;-) Love you guys!

Where Has The Time Gone?

So, it has been a while since I, Ryan, have made a post on the blog. I believe that since my last post, a lot has gone on within the Cain Crew. Most everone knows that Alisha is pregnant with our first child. We are too excited for words, but I think that most of that excitement seems to escape us during the moments of sheer exhaustion and nausea. Needless to say, the first tri-mester was miserable for both of us. Prayerfully, we are anticipating that the second tri-mester will be much more enjoyable. Here are some of the lessons that I have learned during the first tri-mester:
1 - Never buy groceries. She will never know what might sound good to eat and if you buy a ton of food for the house, about 90% of it WILL go bad.
2 - Learn what will comfort her during her times of nausea. (You like how I cleaned up vomitting?) For Alisha, it is a cold wash cloth for her head.
3 - Always, Always, ALWAYS listen to your nurse. She really does know what she is talking about.
4 - It is always a good idea to help out around the house by doing the dishes and laundry and cleaning. There is no way she can do it after working, because when she gets home all she will want to do is sleep.
5 - And finally, all she wants to do is sleep. You need to be ok with that, because her body is working around the clock to prepare a hospitable environment for the baby. Oh, and if you want to go hang out with friends, be ok if that doesn't happen, because again, all she wants to do is sleep.

So, needless to say, this year has started off with a BANG! We got pregnant, and I started back to college. So, after talking it over with Alisha, we decided that in order for us to best prepare for our future, it would be a good idea for me to go back to school to get my degree. If I had realized all this back 7 years ago when I was in school, life would probably be much easier right about now, but as most people in my life know, I have a tendency to do things the hard way. So, I am currently enrolled in Lone Star College, which is a community college just down the street from the house. I am really enjoying going back and have just finished my first mid-terms in over 7 years. Overall, I did good. Right now my grades are A's and B's. I am hoping to pull out all A's for my first semester back. I have a long road ahead of me, but with the support of my wife and my friends and family, I know I can accomplish this task. Oh, and if you were curious, I am going to transfer to the Univesity of Houston after Lone Star. Sorry to disappoint all you Tech fans, but...

GO COOGS!!

Here is a fun fact. We went on a cruise a couple weeks ago. This was a great opportunity for us to get away with family and enjoy the open seas. Ex-CRUISE-me!!

This was the inside joke of the week. Here is another joke. This is just nautical weight I am carrying. It doesn't count. All in all we had a great time, good food and wonderful company. Many thanks go out to Brenda and Anthony Altman for making it happen.

We cruised with Anthony and Brenda Altman, Moises and Jennifer Ledezma, Chris and Ashley Petersen, and of course, The Ella Faith. We had such a great time with everyone and look forward to many years of being family together.

We are Pregnant

12 weeks Pregnant!

I am very sorry for the lack of Blog posts as of late. I just recently found out that I am pregnant, and with that discovery I have desired to sleep in most of my free time. As of yesterday I am now in my second trimester. I am hoping that this will be the turning of the page on my throwing up and overwhelming desire to sleep all the time. I am still not looking like I am pregnant to the outside world, and so I am a little frustrated to say the least on the lack of sympathy I get from Ryan and everyone else. I guess if you look fat there is no sympathy... but when you look pregnant everyone is concerned. The strange part about that is, you are most "sick" before you ever start to look pregnant, and by the time you start showing you feel 10 times better. Well, I hope this is true for me. I will let you know!

Long Overdue

Well I am sorry to tell you that I am not the best in the world at keeping up with posting on the blog. November and December have come and gone. It was Ryan and I's first Holiday Season to spend together as a married couple. It was great. We were able to have family and friends over for food and fun! The greatest reason that we have been too busy to post anything was because we were getting ready for Mid-Winter.
Mid-Winter is a camp that Ryan is the "Camp Director!" This means that he is not only the Youth Pastor to the Crossroads Community Church kids, but the entire camp! It was a lot of stress to help him get everything ready, but once we were there everything went smoothly. With all of that said... I am sorry that I have let the Blog slide. I will do my best to keep you all updated.

Love~
