Learning

The last few weeks have been all about learning. Reece is learning to stay awake and explore the world, coo and awe at mommy and daddy & how to sleep for 5 hours (this is mommy's favorite new thing). Mommy is learning how to function on just a few hours of sleep, that routine is imperative when you have a new born & marriage is a lot more work when you have a newborn. Daddy is learning that Reece loves to listen to Blake Shelton to calm her down and put her to sleep, as well as, the fact that new mommies are a wee bit emotional when they don't get any sleep.

All in all we are learning what life looks like as our new little family unit. We are really enjoying it!!!

Mother's Day Weekend, and Then Some...

Well, for Mother's Day weekend, and Alisha not being officially a mother yet, but still recognizing her, I decided she still needed to be recognized. So, I worked on Saturday and picked up some very soft bamboo clothes for our baby girl, which is scheduled to be here September 6th.



We then took my mother out for a special dinner just for her. She loves to eat crab, and so we took her out and had a wonderful time. We then went to Baby's R Us to show her some of our registry items. (Shameless plug: We are registered there, if you are interested in helping us out.) Then, on Mother's Day, my grandmother came into town and we had dinner with her. It was a special time to celebrate the women in my life.




So, as most people know, we are going to be having a little girl. And we have begun preparing her room. Well, we bought the crib and got and armoire. We got a really good deal and couldn't pass it up. Saved about 60% off original price with only a couple paint scrapes that can easily be painted over.




So, for me, these past months have been an arduous task of going back to school and preparing for what awaits in September. My last day of the semester was Friday with my last final. Needless to say, I was excited to have completed this semester with, as of right now, one 'A'. I am still checking to see what my other two grades are for this semester. I have signed up for both summer sessions and will be taking 2 classes in each. I am looking forward to continuing this journey.

Presents All Around

The last few weeks have blown by! Let me start off by showing you some of baby Reece's very first presents from her Nonni!


She is not even here, and already she is starting to have a nice little collection already.

Next, it was Aidan's birthday this past week, and so we had him over for a little Birthday Celebration! We had so much fun playing with his new Pirate Ship, puzzle and Webkins Lemar.
