Sticks and Stones May Break My Bones, but Falling Out of My Crib REALLY HURTS BAD!!

Well our little girl is letting us know that she is not so little anymore.  We have had her crib lowered to what we thought was the lowest setting, but as it turns out, we could have dropped it about 4 more inches.  One night last week, our little angel was SCREAMING her head off.  We had put her down for bed just like every other night, when the screaming began.  We went in to let her know it was all ok, and then we did what we always do every night.  I (Ryan) went into the garage to work out, and Alisha went and took a bath.  After her bath, Alisha could still hear Reece screaming.  She then didn't hear anything, and when she looked in the monitor, there was no Reece.  So, she decided to check in on her and as she is turning the door knob, there was Reece.  Standing by the door waiting on Momma to come and get her.  Alisha then went to the garage door to show me that Reece had climbed out of her bed, but didn't realize that Reece had hit her head until I asked what happened to her head.  Needless to say, our little girl is getting very independent and BIG!
It was just like the cartoons.  The knot formed quick!

We Know. We Have Been Lazy...

Well, we know that we have been lazy.  We know that we have not done a great job of blogging lately.  We know that there are some of you that have been sitting on the other end of this blog thinking, "When will these two update their blog?"  Well, here you go.  A lot has happened since our last blog, and a lot is getting ready to happen as well.  We are only 2 months away from the birth of our son, Avery Ryan Cain, or AJ as his Papa A will be calling him.  We are getting everything finished in the room from painting, to bedding to even getting his closet put together with all his tiny little man clothes.  But, before he gets here, we still have Reece.  And believe you me, there is never a dull moment with her.  We prayed she would bring joy into the lives of others, but we would never have guessed it would be this much fun and joy.

As most of  you know, Reece has battled ear infections for her whole life.  We went for a checkup and again, there was an ear infection.  The Dr. decided to put her on the most effective medicine out there and mentioned that she probably would not be a fan.  Well, we gave her the medicine for 10 days, there is no ear infection, and she loved the medicine so much that she insists to get more.  So, like good parents, we fill the syringe up with water and "load" her up with "medicine".

Reece loves working out with Daddy,

Daddy's little Easter Bunny.

Alisha had a business trip planned for the middle of March.  It was for three days and was in the Mile High City of Denver, CO.  While she was there, her company put together bikes for under privileged children.  She had a blast seeing the excitement in the kids faces.  The kids were overhead asking if they were able to take the bikes home with them.  They had no clue that the bikes were theirs.  That is an awesome thing to be a part of.

Here is the bike and kid that was assigned to Alisha's group.
Here is Mommy letting everyone know that she has a boy in her tummy.
Now, while Alisha was out of town, it was the Daddy/Daughter week of fun.  And by the picture below, you can see how much fun we had.  However, we were even more excited when Mommy got back home.

Reece loving dinner with Daddy.

Once Alisha got back home, she decided that she needed a day off.  So, she took Friday off, and spent the day with Reece, Ella and Scarlett.  They had so much fun playing together and riding in Ella's Barbie car.  Reece even decided that it would be more fun in the driver's seat.  I can not imagine how this scenario is going to play out in 15 years.  God, give me the strength now!

Reece loves BathTime.  As you can see, she loves bubbles too.  Normally we bathe Reece in her bathtub, but since Mommy was gone, she said that she needed Reece and Mommy bath time.  So, we then decided to fill the tub with bubbles and turn the jets on.  Reece was LOVING IT!!!

Reece has a favorite TV Show.  Yo Gabba Gabba.  You know when she wants to watch it because she will start screaming YO!.  It is pretty funny to see that she knows when the red Netflix logo appears, she wants YO to come on.  The girl is SMART!

Here Reece is watching YO in Mommy and Daddy's bed.

Well, like I said earlier, we are only a couple months from the due date.  I know Alisha is ready to get that little man out of her.  I know, because she keeps telling me that I did this to her.  But, as you can tell, Alisha looks like she is ready to POP.  We just pray that he is healthy, safe and a good sleeper/eater.  Daddy needs his sleep! LOL!
If you look REAL CLOSE, you can see a little furry headed monster peeking in the mirror.

We went back for our checkup, and we have NO ear infections!!!  We are excited, but, the doctor told us that is we get another one, we will have to get tubes put in.  Please pray that we don't have to have this done, especially since we have a newborn on the way.

In closing, we love you all.  We hope this blog makes you laugh, makes you fall in love with our family a little more, and allows you to get a glimpse of our life as the Cain Crew.
