Reecie is 3!!!

Today we had Reece's 3rd birthday party. It was so much fun! We had a Fun Bus Party. The Fun Bus is a school bus that has been gutted, and then filled with fitness equipment. The Fun Bus goes to Reece's daycare once a week during the school year. It is one of Reece's favorite things about her daycare. So she told us that for her 3rd birthday party she wanted to have a Fun Bus Party!

We were so excited to see that almost everyone that was invited to the party came. The only friend that was not able to come was Reece's best friend and cousin Abby. Abby lives 8 hours away, so she was not able to make it. We really missed her! All her other friends and cousins were able to come, and it was a great time.

After all of the kids were through playing on the Fun Bus we had Pizza, Cupcakes, IceCream & presents. Opening of the presents was quite the Event, but we were so blessed to have everyone over, and we are so thankful for the sweet gifts. Thank you everyone for coming!!!

First Day of Pre-School

It is official... We have a big Pre-Schooler!!! We told Reece she was getting a new teacher and a new class room, and as you can see she was Not thrilled. It took a little convincing, but she finally came around to realize that she was starting a brand new Adventure.

Of course we had to stop and get "Big Girl Dounut Holes" on the way to school. I'm so excited to see how much Reece loves to learn. It is going to be a great year!

GO U of H

This weekend we Celebrated the beginning of football season by touring the brand new U of H football stadium. It was so much fun!

We went with Nonni, Papa Cain, Joey and Aidan. As you can see Avery decided that he didn't want to walk in the large crowd.

Lake House/Griswold Wedding

This weekend we went to Dallas for the Wedding of a sweet friend Liz Pace. She was marrying a man named Josh Griswold. The wedding was on Saturday night. We were so excited when we found out that not only was my parents going to be in town, but my sister Jennifer's family was in town as well. This meant that Reece and Abby were going to get to play. This trip was especially fun, because Bibi bought paint for the kids to play with. They had a blast!

The girls also had so much fun "playing bakery" and making cookies with Bibi. Reece was a big fan of the dough, and was not a fan of waiting until the cookies were finished baking in the oven.

There was a huge rain storm about 2 hours before the wedding was supposed to start. We were a little worried about the wedding being canceled, because it was an ALL outdoor wedding and reception. The good news was that it was barely sprinkling by the time the wedding started. The rain was completely gone by the time the reception started. It was a beautiful wedding and reception, and it was so much fun seeing my old Dallas friends.

While Ryan and I were at the wedding Bibi, Jennifer, Moises and Abby all went to the pre-season Cowboy game. My Dad stayed home for a little quality time with Reece and Avery. They has a blast playing in the toy room. After Avery went to sleep Papa A gave Reece her very first Coke Float! She LOVED it! I think she had an awesome time with Papa A. He had a great time as well. The kids wore him out so much that we found him crashed out on the couch outside of the kids rooms.

Thanks Papa A!!! You are the best grandpa I could ever ask for!

Summer Fun

This summer we have made a tradition of spending Sunday afternoon in the pool in the backyard. The kids love being outside and in the water. Maybe one day we will have a big underground pool, but for now the kids are having a blast splashing around in our little blow-up pool.

Another one of our favorite things to do this summer was to make pallets in the living room and watch a movie. Reece was super sweet in the picture below, because she decided to share her nap-mat with her little brother.

Below is Reece taking Avery for a walk to Bahama Buck's (a shaved ice place in front of our neighborhood). This is something that we really like to do as a family!

Finally, we have a picture of our sweet Reece licking on a homemade Popsicle. Reece loves all things sweet and frozen (ice cream, pop-sickles, frozen yogurt etc.).

I hope that everyone else has been enjoying Summer 2014 as much as the "Cain Crew!"

Miss Fabulous!

As Many of you know Reece is a Ball of Energy and Joy that can not be contained. We were worried a few months ago that she might be losing her fire. As it turned out she was cutting her pesky 2 year old molars. Once those teeth finally cut we saw her spirit coming flooding back!

Reece has said many time that she wants to be a "Princess, Angel, Ballerina & Doctor" when she grows up. I'm not sure what she will be when she grows up, but I know she will have a great time doing whatever she decides.

As you can see from the picture above Reece not only has a lot of emotional spirit, but fashion spirit as well. She is a huge fan of all things Bright Pink! She loves to wear her pink boots and her fuzzy pink jacket with everything. She also LOVES sunglasses. Her future really is too bight. "She's got to wear shades!''

This final picture is one of my favorite, because this T-shirt fits her personality to a tee. This is a shirt that I bought in college from a restaurant that I spent a lot of time. It was called Capprock Cafe. The slogan on the shirt is "The Road goes on forever, but the Party Never ends!" For Reece I hope that her Joyous Party never ends!!!
