Gigi Saves the Day

  

For the last few weeks Avery has consistently has had gas during the day. So we give him infant gas drops, and they help sooth his tummy immediately. Well on Monday morning Avery had severe gas and I could not find the gas drops anywhere. So my sister rushed over to bring us drops. It help right away! 

Scarlett grace came to! She played with me and Reece's toys while Gigi loved on Avery!

Sibling Love

 

As we start to settle into our routine of life as a family of 4 everyone keeps asking how Reece is doing with the new addition... 

Well as you can see in the picture above she is doing great! She loves her baby brother so much. She always wants to hold him and kiss him. She has even started to swaddle her baby doll, and take it everywhere she goes so that she can be just like mommy and Avery. It is the sweetest thing ever! We are blessed beyond belief!!!

Hat Day

Since we switched Day-Cares for Reece and Avery, we have loved everything that the new Day Care does.  They provide good meals, we don't have to take wipes for Reece, we don't have to buy a nap mat, and they do cool things during the Summer like Tuesday Splash Days, and this one... HAT DAY.  When we first knew about Hat Day, we knew we wanted Reece to participate, but just didn't know what hat she was going to wear.  That was until GiGi and Uncle Chris got back from their Disney Cruise.  They bought Reece this Minnie Mouse hat.  It was perfect for the special day.  Thank you GiGi and Uncle Chris.

Hot Days of Summer

 

So this past Friday the AC went out in our house! It took almost 24 hours to get it fixed. On Friday it was almost 90 degrees in our house, so Avery and I had to hang out with Ryan at his office until the AC was fixed.

Pajama Day

Today was pajama day at Reece's daycare. Thanks to her Mimi she had the cutest pajamas in the whole place! She decided that since she was in her pajamas she also needed to take her "blankee" to daycare as well.

Happy Father's Day

Let me start by saying that I hope everyone had a great Father's Day! 

This was the first Father's Day that Ryan celebrated with his son and daughter. We started the day by realizing that Reece had pink eye... But that wasn't going to stop us from celebrating Ryan! For breakfast we wanted to Ryan to his favorite "brunch" spot at Pappasitos. Once we got there we realized that the particular location does not do the brunch. We stayed anyway and had lunch. Then for dinner we went to BJ's brew house because they were giving away free Father's Day beer glasses. Ryan ended the day with some good loot! 

I hope that everyone else had a great day too!  

Mommy's Birthday Dinner

Every year for my birthday I go and eat at a Hibachi steak house. It is a tradition that my parents started about 20 years ago when they were still married. The very last birthday that I had with just my sister and both parents they took me to "Show Gun Hibachi Grill" in Lubbock. From that moment on I was hooked! I loved the food and the whole celebration. Every year since then,  I have gone to a Hibachi Grill for my birthday.

I have many great memories from this tradition, and this year was no exception. In fact I think it was the best year yet, because I had my husband and both of my children! This past Saturday we all went to dinner with Ashley, Chris, Ella, Scarlett, Ron and Sharon. We had a great time, especially watching the kids eyes light up when the food was being cooked. I look forward to many more years to come!!!

 

It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's Avery at 1 month old!!!

 

As you can see our "Super Boy" is now one month old. We are not sure of exactly how much he weighs, but we guess he is somewhere around the 10 pound range. The interesting thing is how much bigger he is than Reece at this age.  There are certain times when he looks exactly like his sister, and then there are times when we can't really tell who he looks like.  But there is one thing we do know, we love him as much as any parents could.  He is a wonderful addition to our family.

 

When we brought Reece home, we wondered how the dogs were going to handle her being home, and we wondered the same thing with Avery.  Well, to our surprise and shock, Bella has taken a liking to him.  Just like Reece is Beaux's person, Avery is Bella's person.  She actually wants to lay next to him.  I know that most of you that know Bella and her personality find this to be crazy to think that she could be sweet to a child. 

 

We love our little guy and can't wait to see how he and his sister get along with each other over the next few months.  We have had to deal with some jealousy issues, but we seem to have managed it pretty well.  Thank you to all of you who have supported us with prayers, food and love.   

Accepted & Enrolled

As most of you know Ryan went back to College soon after we were married. He has been working very hard at the local community college in order to get his basic courses completed and GPA high enough to get admitted into the University of Houston Downtown. He has final got in, and is enrolled to start as of this coming fall! 

The kids and I are so excited for him! He is hoping to get his degree in Insurance and Risk Management in the next few years. Please help me in encouraging him in this! Thanks!!!
