We Love Oatmeal

 

It is officially time to start solid foods... This week we have started trying out Avery on oatmeal. As we predicted he is definitely ready to start eating solid food. This Sunday Reece was very excited to have Avery in his high chair next to her as they aet their oatmeal together. They are both BIG fans of oatmeal. He is growing up way too fast! With every passing day They get bigger and bigger (and look more and more alike)!!!

Check Up Time

It is that time of year for Doctor check ups. This time Avery and Reece had check ups close to the same time. 

Reece had her 2 year check up and is doing great! She is hitting all of her developmental milestones. She is also a growing girl! 

Avery had his four month check up and is still growing at a rapid pace just like his sister! We are excited to see if the growth trend continues... We are counting on both of them being basketball stars!!! 

4 Months Old

Today Avery turned 4 months old.  It is hard to believe that he has been here for only that short time.  Some interesting things that he is currently doing are:

- Rolling over from front to back

- Grabbing items and moving them around

- Sitting in his bouncer and bumpo seat

- Drooling A LOT

- Being cute

and

- Loving life and being a great addition to the Cain Crew

And finally here is Reece wanting to get in the action.  We tried getting her to hold Avery, but that didn't go as planned, but we did get this cute pic of our toddler.  Hope everyone enjoys.

Chuck E. Cheese

This past weekend we had Another birthday party for Reece's 2nd birthday. We went to Chuck E.Cheese!!! This was quite an expierience! Almost all of Reece's cousins were there (we missed you Abby).

This is Avery and his friend Jack. Jack is 3 months younger than Avery and a whole lot smaller. I know these two will be great friends!

 We had a great time playing and opening her awesome gifts. We were so blessed by everyone. 

At the end of the party we were able to get some sweet pictures of the Cain cousins with Nonni and Poppa. 

Here's Patty!!

 

Going to the lake is a great time to get away from the ordinary and step into the extra-ordinary.  This past trip was no different.  What made this trip one of the best times was the addition of Patty.  You might be wondering who Patty is?  Well, instead of telling  you, I might as well just show you.

 

Here Patty is playing with a fork in the fireplace.  Patty, this is a big No-No.

And this is Patty spying on Papa-A.  She says, "I see you." (insert creepy voice)

 

And then Patty decided to play cards with Papa-A.  I am not sure who won, but at the lake, we are all winners!!!

 

 

 

 

 

2 Years Old

 

Well a few things have changed during Reece's 2nd year of life. She is now a big sister of a little brother that we didn't know about on her last birthday. She has changed daycare and made a lot of new friends. She now has a full vocabulary of too many words to count. She can count to 8. She knows most of her basic colors. She has even started to speak in simple sentences. We are very impressed at how quickly she is becoming her own little person. The only thing that we have not mastered yet is potty training. We are hoping that this is something that she will master before her next birthday!

This weekend we celebrated Reece's birthday at my parents Lake House with a birthday party. Thank you BB for the amazing cupcakes, ice-cream cake & presents!!!

I think one of Reece's favorite parts of her birthday weekend was playing dress-up with her cousin Abby. These two are only two months apart, and are thick as thieves. It was a great weekend, and I am so glad we got to spend it with my parents and both of my sisters and their families!
